Firm Overview

Judith A. Williams is a recognized mediator and collaborative law divorce attorney with 18 years of experience in all areas of family law. She is an expert at settling divorces out of court. Center for Mediated Divorce offers settlement-oriented clients 4 choices to a peaceful resolution: The Kitchen Table, Mediation, Cooperative Law and Collaborative Law. Visit our website to understand the differences and benefits of each to see which of these choices are right for you. Or just call the office.

Judy has been an active leader in Orange County and with the State Bar. She has been a Panel Attorney on the Orange County Juvenile Dependency Court for 7 years, representing adoptions, foster children, and guardian ships. After being named New Attorney of the Year in 1996 by the OC Public Law Center, she continued to perform at a high level for her clients. In 2009, Judy was named one of Orange County's Top Lawyers by O C Magazine and became a multiple winner in 2013.

After several years of experience litigating divorce and becoming frustrated with a system that seems to sap the energy, relationships and assets of the divorcing couple, she decided to only handle non-litigated settlement-oriented couples. The mission of The Center for Mediated Divorce (CMD) is to help clients amicably resolve disputes out of court and avoid the problems of lengthy litigation. Judy understands the needs of families facing divorce, as well as the potentially devastating and lifelong impact it can have on children. Her decision to not do litigation supports her motto for CMD, "A Place for Peaceful Solutions"
