Fiedler and Associates, L.L.C.

Firm Overview

We provide real world solutions for globally-minded people. Many of our clients travel, have passports, have married across borders, or find themselves here in the United States for one reason or another. Others may be looking to hire a foreign national or help a foreign worker with a particular issue.

Our firm was established in 2008 with the goal of providing services to Atlanta's globally-minded community.

Example cases

A recent case involved an immigrant facing felony theft charges. We were able to get the case reduced to a minor infraction and keep the client in the United States.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

The areas in which we practice are those in which real people are affected and where we can make a difference.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

We strongly encourage our clients to read up on legal issues, interview lawyers as well as to attend relevant support groups. Each person's situation is unique but often times there is basic information about general legal matters available on the web or at the library.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

We encourage all clients to bring all relevant paperwork to our office at the time of their initial consultation. Sometimes clients can save costs by doing their own legwork.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

There are certain situations that do not require the services of a lawyer. If we see that our clients would be able to handle their own situation without incurring legal expenses, we will let them know. For others who do not have the means or inclination to hire an attorney, we can often point them in the direction of free legal resources in the community. However, the odds are against non-lawyers who face lawyers in litigation and child custody matters.

Carrie Fiedler

Prior to becoming an attorney, I worked in international business and earned a Master of International Management. In Atlanta I worked with Rodriguez and Associates, LLC, a firm catering to Georgia's Hispanic community.

Having been both consumers and providers of legal services gives us the empathy and experience to better serve our clients.

My unique strength is finding creative ways to settle cases while always being ready for a courtroom battle. There is no one-sized-fits-all solution for legal matters. Each client and each case is unique.

My style is zealous yet compassionate. I care about my clients. I am quick, efficient and result-oriented, but also try to look beyond at the bigger picture of a situation.

Personal interests:

I am active in the community with my family, church, and Girl Scouts. It is not uncommon to see me in a volunteer capacity outside of the courtroom.
