Attorney Brown went into private practice with a law firm in the Tampa Bay area in 2003. She focused in the area of real estate law, foreclosures for private investors, bankruptcy, and asset protection and estate planning. With the foreclosure crisis, she took to the defense side of the foreclosure arena. This has been her main area of practice since.
Since we began practicing foreclosure law on the side of the banks and the investors, we are able to bring a unique perspective to problems that our clients may have because we can see the problem from the perspective of the other side, which can be an asset.
We are a small law firm with vast experience in the area of real estate and foreclosure law, including teaching continuing legal education courses in the area of foreclosure defense.
In the area of foreclosure defense and bankruptcy, mediation can be a very valuable tool to sit down with lender's counsel and the lender's representative and go through a case, short sale package, or loan modification application to determine what options are realistic and available for a client. Many negotiations take place over the phone and pushing paper, we prefer a hands on approach by sitting down with all of the parties and a thrid party mediator.
Pro bono legal services are an important asset to the community. Ms. Brown was part of The Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas, when she practiced law in Texas. She received recognition for her outstanding service to low income individuals.
