What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others

I have more than 15 years of experience representing both injured workers and insurance companies in workers' compensation litigation.

We all know that insurance companies exist because they pay out less in claims than they receive in premiums and investment income. A claims adjuster's job is to limit damages, not to ensure your physical or financial well-being.

The largest determinant of your claim's value are the medical opinions of the doctors who evaluate your injury. It is almost never a good idea to settle a claim based solely on the reporting of a doctor who works for your employer's industrial clinic, though adjusters will push early settlements based on such reports to avoid the cost and potential consequences of a second opinion.

If you are at the point in your case where you are about to be examined by a qualified medical evaluator (QME), it would be wise to speak with an attorney immediately, before the examination takes place. If you've been offered a settlement by an insurance company for your injury, you should also consider speaking with an attorney to make sure that the settlement is fair and reasonable.

If you have received a denial of your claim, do not give up pursuing your rights to benefits without speaking with an attorney. Claims are routinely denied on improper grounds and there are many exceptions to the rules upon which insurance companies base their claim denials.

We offer free consultations to prospective clients and are always happy to review your file documents and answer any questions you may have about your case.

What are your firm's strengths and style?

Our office emphasizes responsiveness to clients' concerns and questions. A workers' compensation claim can be stressful, and we appreciate that a prompt response to a client's question (be it simple or complex), can go a long way toward easing that client's anxiety.

We aggressively pursue our clients' rights to benefits, and our knowledge of the law ensures that clients receive all to which they are entitled in connection with their claims.
