Founded in 1965, LMWF is a full service New York-based law firm that serves clients regionally, nationally, and internationally on a variety of matters. Headquartered in Buffalo, New York, with offices in Albany, New York City and Burlington, Ontario, we represent a diverse client base which includes both publicly and privately-owned companies, private equity and venture capital firms, real estate developers, financial institutions, municipalities and governmental entities.

Christopher Walker

Christopher is a Partner-in-Charge with LMWF, joining the firm after working for a prominent law firm in western New York. Dedicated primarily to corporate and real estate transactional matters, Christopher works closely with clients to find effective and "common-sense" business solutions to often complicated legal matters.

Christopher works with companies located throughout the United States from "cradle to grave" assisting in formation, operation and the eventual sale or disposition of the company. He handles everything from contract matters to sophisticated mergers and acquisitions. Working with clients to ensure both proper structure and operative implementation of business deals, Christopher seeks to provide effective and efficient counsel in order to provide clients with profitable business deals and solutions. His recent transactions include:
the formation of a multimillion dollar provide debt fund;
the formation and assistance in securing seed capital for a medical innovation company in excess of seven million dollars;
the assistance on corporate legal matters with two (2) technology development companies; and
the formation of several real estate broker companies.

Also active in real estate, Christopher has successfully closed over $500 million of real estate acquisitions and financing matters, including handling complex and multifaceted 1031 exchanges and defeasances. Recent transactions include:
purchase of several hotels totaling over $10 million;
sale of multiple local real estate sites; and
on-going assistance with the entitlement and development process for several senior housing, multi-family and commercial properties.

Christopher also handles resident real estate closings throughout the state of Florida.

During the course of his career, Christopher has also represented numerous financial institutions across the country in both real estate and asset secured lending transactions. His focus in this area of the law deals with complex financial transactions, including aircraft secured financing as well as structuring deals for major commercial lending institutions on a local to international level. He has an invaluable tool for lenders to leverage in their transactions aiding them in realizing cost and closing efficiencies at closing.
