Firm Overview

Individual service tailored to the client's needs with focus on direct attorney client interaction and relationship.

Practiced in Dallas, Texas from 1987 to 2003. Purchased current practice and title insurance company in Mineola, Texas in 2003, and operated to present.

Example cases

Bankruptcy case example:
A small business owner had developed a good company over a number of years, but because of the economy and some mistakes made in the business, he faced a number of challenges such as: defaults on business loans, a pending lawsuit from a business vendor and a customer, as well as income tax/IRS garnishment and seizure issue. By filing a Chapter 13 reorganization I was able to restructure their debt situation so that his family owned business was saved, defaults were cured on the loans, the lawsuits were dismissed and the IRS had to cease and desist any further collection actions by setting up a restructured payment plan over 5 years.

Estate Planning example:
Each spouse in a married couple had children from a previous marriage and were concerned about a number of potential issues that would arise upon their deaths. One of the issues involved one of the children and his tendency to create problems among the other children, including his propensity to file lawsuits and other intimidation tactics. Additionally, one of the other children had a medical condition that would require someone to act as Trustee for that child's share of the estate. We crafted a Revocable Living Trust, as well as other estate and disability planning documents, that addressed these issues by creating a firewall against the litigious child, a special needs trust for the disabled child, as well as other provisions and plans for other issues the married couple had wanted to address. The couple is now secure in knowing that their loved ones will be spared of what could have been a grueling and expensive process, had the couple not planned ahead.

Services Offered For Fixed Fees?

We try to use fixed fees whenever possible. That way the client knows exactly what the cost will be for a particular matter. However, in matters involving litigation, an hourly fee is used as it is impossible to know how long contested litigation matters will take to conclude. We offer a discount to Nolo referrals. We would typically charge $150 to $250 to review a simple will or trust produced by Quicken WillMaker Plus.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I enjoy taking a situation that seems unorganized, messed up, or even hopeless, and turning it around for the client. Seeing the difference it makes in a person's life is very rewarding.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I think it is valuable and important.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I am willing to do so.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I am willing to do so.

Bradley Campbell

Worked at a small firm with an emphasis on client service. Practice areas were bankruptcy, business, estate planning, probate, and collections.

My first job was a paper boy when I was 13, getting up at 3:30 in the morning to run my route. I have always worked a part-time job since then while attending school. I think this work ethic reflects in my work that I perform for the benefit of my clients.

Organizing, finding the most cost efficient and effective solution to a problem, and then implementing that solution.

Personal interests:

At this point in my life, pretty much all of my personal activities and interests revolve around my wife and children and their activities. Maybe once the kids are grown and on their own, I will have more time to devote to my personal interests like hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities.
