Thomas H. Blaske practices in the areas of legal and medical malpractice and plaintiff personal injury litigation.
In addition to being a frequent lecturer for the Institute for Continuing Legal Education, he teaches trial advocacy skills throughout the country for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Blaske has authored more than 200 books and articles on a variety of legal subjects mostly related to trial law. He is a former chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan Committee on Medicolegal Problems and spent more than 15 years assisting in writing and grading State Bar exams. Mr. Blaske is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, and the Washtenaw County Bar Association, as well as the American Association for Justice and the Michigan Association for Justice. A member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, he is a fellow of both the Pound Civil Justice Institute and the Michigan State Bar Foundation. Mr. Blaske has been the recipient of numerous awards from various groups, including the Trial Advocacy Foundation of Pennsylvania and Washtenaw Trial Lawyers Association. John began working for Blaske & Blaske in 1995 as a clerk. He then joined the firm as an associate in 2004 after receiving academic honors from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wisconsin. John is focused, dedicated, and innovative, bringing all of his energy and his deep ethical understandings (in which subject he received some of those academic honors) to every case. He remains very devoted to the University of Wisconsin, and shares Tom's overarching passion for the importance of legal ethics. He also loves playing soccer, chess, reading and, more than anything else, spending time with his wife Stacy and their daughter Adelynn.
