Mr. Thomas is the former President of the 27,000 member Texas Young Lawyers Association. He received the Graduate of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.) award from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2017. Prior to that he was named a Rising Texas Star by SuperLawyers magazine. He was voted the Outstanding Young Lawyer in 2014 by the Abilene Young Lawyers Association and received the Bob Black Bar Leaders award from Texas Tech University School of Law in the same year.
Mr. Thomas currently serves on the District 8 Grievance Committee of the State Bar of Texas and volunteers with multiple charitable organizations. He also frequently teaches at several regional police academies and for several law enforcement agencies.

Melissa, a graduate of Texas A&M University, received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech School of Law and has been a licensed attorney since 2006. Melissa received her MBA and a Certificate in Charitable Financing Planning following law school. She is experienced in assisting clients and families in a variety of difficult legal matters including family law, divorce, criminal law, strategic business planning and estate planning.
Melissa learned at an early age that community service connects people in times of need. She enjoys serving on the Citizens Review Committee for United Way of Central Texas, the Altrusa International of Temple Board of Directors, the Bell County Youth Fair Scholarship Committee and as a community volunteer in her church. Melissa was recently selected as a Fellow for the Texas Bar Foundation.
