Auto Accident
Bill Coats has extensive experience with truck, motorcycle, bicycle, pedestrian, bus and car accidents.
The auto insurance industry has made it nearly impossible for a normal citizen to file an insurance claim after an accident. At Bill Coats Law, we are able to get the insurance company to take our clients and their claims seriously. We are not afraid to do all that is necessary to recover full and fair compensation for our clients. We have a proven record of success in taking on the insurance industry and recovering money for our clients.

We take special pride in representing victims of drunk and distracted drivers.
Wrongful Death
Wrongful death cases are emotionally difficult for everyone, including the lawyer for the deceased's family. Bill Coats works to help the family through the legal process when a person dies because of the carelessness of others.
At Bill Coats Law we understand that no amount of money will every make up for the loss of a loved one. Part of our job in a wrongful death case is to help the family through the legal process. Bill Coats works hard to hold people who are reckless accountable for the damage and harm they cause.

In a wrongful death case, the surviving family may be entitled to compensation: 1) to make up for the income the deceased person would have earned, 2) for the pain and suffering the deceased experienced before death, 3) for any medical bills that were incurred before the death, and 4) for loss of a special relationship such as when a spouse, child or parent dies.

Bill believes that cases in which drunk or distracted drivers kill someone are especially troubling and difficult for the surviving family. He takes the time to help the family understand the criminal prosecution of the drunk driver.
Personal Injury
We have a proven track record of helping people who have been injured in all kinds of accidents. The one thing they have in common is that our clients were all hurt because of the carelessness or recklessness of someone else.
At Bill Coats Law we have successfully taken on the following types of personal injury cases:

Elder abuse

Defective Products

Dog Attacks

On the job injuries

Auto accidents

Nursing home negligence

Drunk driving collisions

Brain injury

Harmful drugs

Construction site injuries

Hazardous conditions

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I've always preferred to work for people who need help with a legal problem as opposed a large corporation or insurance company. I like that I can level the playing field for my clients against the insurance company. I like that I am able to guarantee my clients that they will not have to pay a fee for my legal services unless we win the case.

"I was hit by a car in a parking lot and was knocked to the ground. I had a serious injury to my shoulder. This was a very difficult time for me in many ways and I am happy to say that Bill made it as easy as possible in dealing with the bills and insurance company. Bill and his staff were there whenever I had questions with quick and correct answers. I am a RN and was very impressed with their knowledge of the health care system. I highly recommend Bill Coats and his staff! There was never a time when I did not feel that they had my interest on the top of their list. I had a hard time dealing with the all the pain and appointments and changes in my everyday life but never did I worry about the bills or dealing with the insurance company- I always felt they cared and worked to get the best for me. My case was settled and I am very happy."
