Bernie Siler

Attorney Siler has been practicing for the past 30 years in various capacities. As a trial lawyer he has excelled as a prosecutor and defense attorney as both a civilian and as a military lawyer. He is also an Adjunct Law Professor at Montgomery College, Takoma Park, Maryland. He has been devoted to this practice for the past several years.

Attorney Siler won the Superior Trial Performance award while serving as an Assistant Attorney General. He became an expert and had victories involving the initial cases involving Parental Kidnapping and Election Fraud when those statutes were first enacted in the District of Columbia. Additionally, Attorney Siler won numerous cases involving driving offenses such as DUI, suspended permits, hit and run and various misdemeanor and felony charges.

This lawyer's extensive experience and successful record as a military JAG lawyer makes him especially useful for military clients facing Administrative Charges or Courts Martial.

In addition, Attorney Siler is an expert in Civil War history having lectured, published and led historical tours on various aspects of the Civil War. He has appeared on the National Geographic Network and various radio shows to lend expertise on this subject and particularly where legal issues were involved. This would include jurisdictional issues revolving around the Lincoln conspiracy trial and the trial of Charles Guiteau, the assassin of President Garfield.
