Practice areas
My practice is almost exclusively insurance defense. Here's how I typically serve clients:

Developing case strategy
-I evaluate the case based on all available information, considering the state of both statutory and case law in Oklahoma.
-I create a budget to apprise my client of the anticipated costs to defend the suit.
-I draft discovery and other appropriate motions based on the case strategy.

Ongoing Representation
-I develop a collegial relationship with opposing counsel, while at the same time maintaining open communication with my client and the insured.
-I "turn every page" by reviewing all medical records, all employment records, and any other relevant documents to insure that the claimed injuries are truly the result of the incident complained of in the plaintiff's petition and the result of an action or omission of the insured.
-I timely complete reports, updating litigation budgets, as desired by my client, and especially contacting my client when significant or unexpected events arise.
-My strengths are organization and persuasion. I have drafted and won many summary judgment motions, including ones without a hearing, based solely on the motion itself.

More about me
For nearly twenty years, I taught high school speech, debate, and theatre courses, before attending Oklahoma City University School of Law and receiving my Juris Doctor, with Public Law certificate in 2010. I am married and have two children. I have founded a community theatre and served on several non-profit boards of directors. As a law student, I was the Editor-in-Chief of the student newspaper, and with my co-counsel, won the first year intramural moot court competition. I received the highest grade in two courses, Trial Practice and Federal Indian Law Seminar, in addition to serving as an officer in several student organizations. I am a graduate of the 2012 OBA Leadership Class and currently serve as a member of the OBA Law-Related Education committee, as well as working with the High School Mock Trial Program.
