Firm Overview

We opened our Tucson office in 2008 when I returned home to practice in the Old Pueblo.

We focus primarily on consumer financial issues. Our objective is to assist consumers in a variety of matters such as managing debt burdens, creditor harassment, and many other consumer protection concerns.

Example cases

• In the past year, I have filed lawsuits against major financial and lending institutions for mortgage fraud, loan modification fraud, and wrongful foreclosures.

• I also have lawsuits currently pending against debt collectors for violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

Financial problems affect a great many people and are often the most difficult for the legal system to address. Helping consumers deal with the frustrations and complications caused by debt is immensely satisfying.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I encourage our clients to be fully informed and educated which allows them to recognize when and where to get the legal assistance they require.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I do not review client-prepared documents under normal circumstances due to professional liability concerns.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

While I often refer clients who wish to represent themselves to resources, I do not undertake coaching clients.

Barry W. Rorex

I have been in private practice since 1996. For almost a decade, I worked primarily on consumer class action lawsuits assisting homeowner recovery in defective product liability claims. Since my return to Arizona, I have devoted my practice to bankruptcy and consumer issues.

My financial background provides me with a deeper and broader understanding of the kinds of challenges my clients face and strategies for overcoming them.

The firm attempts to be approachable at all times and accommodating to my hard-working clients. While my relationship with my clients is relaxed, I am relentless in advocating for my clients' rights.
