Barone Law Offices

Firm Overview

My family and I cherish the legal profession. I have been honored and privileged to serve as an attorney for over 45 years. There are an abundance of competent lawyers in my family. My bride of 47 years is a lawyer, as is our daughter, and also my brother. Two nieces are also attorneys.

I have devoted the majority of my experience, approximately 40 years, to the representation of victims of the wrongdoings of others, be they individuals or corporations. The claims have included vehicular accidents, and medical malpractice claims in trial and appellate courts throughout Ohio. I have handled cases, to a lesser extent, in Michigan and Indiana. I have handled cases in Federal Courts in each of the above mentioned Jurisdictions.

I have handled many insurance bad faith claims, as well as uninsured and underinsured motorists' claims. I have been lead counsel in hundreds of cases which went to trial, arbitration, or mediation. I have conducted depositions of thousands of witnesses including so called “expert” witnesses in over 26 states. I have been a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, and have had an AV Preeminent rating with Martindale-Hubbell for over 24 years. Further, I have experience as a civil litigator for the former Toledo Legal Aid Society, and as a felony prosecutor for the Lucas County Prosecutors Office.

Life lessons were learned from M.L. Okun, the first lawyer to take a chance on me. My practice permits me to take cases that are intellectually challenging including occasionally representing corporations in contract disputes, oil and gas leases, and plant security negligence claims.

I am grateful to my clients, who over the years have referred their family members and friends. Overall, I have been very fortunate.
