Social Security Disability
Gerry Schulze has been handling Social Security Disability cases since 1983. He has taught continuing education courses for lawyers about Social Security.
Baker & Schulze is a small law firm at which you can expect personal attention. We handle Social Security Disability, personal injury, and general litigation on behalf of individuals and small businesses.

Gerry Schulze spends about a third of his time on Social Security Disability cases. Gerry has a long connection with the Social Security Disability system. Gerry's father was an administrative law judge with the Social Security Administration when Gerry was growing up and well into the time of his law practice.

Of course, Social Security disability cases do not get much publicity. Gerry Schulze has been involved in a number of high-profile cases. In 2012 Gerry handled several cases that got media attention, including Broussard v. St. Edward Mercy Medical System, 2012 Ark. 14, in which the Arkansas Supreme Court struck down the "same specialty" requirement for expert witnesses in medical negligence cases, Bismarck School District v. Sims, 2012 Ark. App. 239, in which the wrongful discharge of a school counselor was overturned by the courts, Cannady v. St. Vincent Infirmary, 2012 Ark. 369, in which the Arkansas Supreme Court ruled that Anne Pressly's parents could go forward to trial on a claim arising out of the wrongful viewing of their daughter's medical records, and Smith v. Rebsamen Medical Center, 2012 Ark. 441 in which the Supreme Court ruled that one circuit court has no jurisdiction to disregard a decision of a parallel circuit court.
