Firm Overview

I bring 22 years of experiences as a business and civil trial attorney to helping consumers get a fresh start from the burden of their debts. My bankruptcy practice is dedicated exclusively to assisting consumers with working through their financial crisis by seeking relief in the bankruptcy court. I also assist them in defending their mortgage foreclosure actions, if the state court foreclosure action can offer a better remedy than what might be available in the bankruptcy court.

"I started my legal career working for large corporations and insurance companies. Now I help "the little guy" when they need the skills and experience of a talented lawyer."
Jeffrey S. Badgley is a former insurance company attorney who is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a specialist in civil trial law. Chose an expert! Mr. Badgley also has an "AV" rating by the Martindale-Hubble peer review system, the highest rating from judges and lawyers in the community.

"I have been practicing law in Orlando since 1988. I started with the largest firm in Orlando, and now I enjoy working as a small firm so that I can work directly with all of my clients. After working with large firms for many years, I started my own practice to help individuals and families with their legal needs. I specialize in personal injury and professional malpractice. While working for large firms, I worked with insurance companies and large corporations. Now, I find it so much more satisfying helping people who really need a good lawyer to overcome a challenging legal obstacle, such as recovering from the financial distress caused by an injury from an accident, or after being neglected or taken advantage of by a legal professional."

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I have been practicing law in Orlando since 1988. I started with the largest firm in Orlando, and now I enjoy working as a small firm so that I can work directly with all of my clients. After working with large firms for many years, I started my own practice to help individuals and families with their legal needs. I specialize in personal injury, professional malpractice, and bankruptcy law. While working for large firms, I worked with insurance companies and large corporations. Now, I find it so much more satisfying helping people who really need a good lawyer to overcome a challenging legal obstacle, such as resolving a financial debt crisis, or recovering from the financial distress caused by an injury from an accident, or after being neglected or taken advantage of by a legal professional.

Why am I a lawyer? Because I like to help people. I get the most satisfaction knowing that I have helped someone get out of a real legal jam, whether it is dealing with a life changing accident, or helping a family get a fresh start with their finances.

I have been practicing as a lawyer for 23 years. During that time, I have worked hard to get the training and credentials that make me an excellent attorney and advocate for my clients. I am board certified as a Civil Trial Lawyer, the highest recognition by the Florida Bar as a specialist in the area of trial law. I am a member of the National Association of Bankruptcy Lawyers. I have been given a rating of AV by the Martindale-Hubble peer review system, which reflects the opinion of lawyers and judges in my legal community.

I started my legal career working for large corporations and insurance companies. Now I help "the little guy" when they need the skills and experience of a talented lawyer.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others

Jeffrey Badgley has received a "10.0 rating from AVVO, the highest rating given.

Jeffrey Badgley has helped Central Florida residents keep their homes, strip mortgages from homes, keep cars, keep money, and eliminate or work out hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.

Our law firm is not a high volume "mill" where you will never meet or talk to your own bankruptcy attorney. Jeff will meet with you on day one, and stay with you until your case is completed.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

"I try to see & hear things from my client's point of view. Once I earn their trust, my clients come to know that they can count on me to put their best case forward, as long as it is truthful. When I believe in a client's case, I will go the extra mile and then some to achieve what I believe they are entitled to under the law."
