Resolving debt problems for our clients. Whether you have tax, credit card, mortgage or support issues...we can help.
Jeffery S. Styers, Attorney at Law:

Over 30 years experience representing San Diego clients in and outside of Bankruptcy Court and before the I.R.S. We are here to help you and solve problems.

Graduate of San Diego State University and the University of San Diego, School of Law. Author: "Life After Bankruptcy". Member National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys; San Diego County Bar Association; U.S. Bankruptcy Court Panel of Mediators; "Lead Counsel" status and well regarded by other members of the Bankruptcy Bar, U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judges and Trustees.

We handle each case carefully and individually. We are discreet and respect the privacy rights of all our clients. We have several options, other than bankruptcy, to resolve your debt problems and many times counsel our clients to stay away from the Bankruptcy Court.

"Life After Bankruptcy" is a book authored by Attorney Styers, to teach bankruptcy clients how to rebuild and rehabilitate their credit standing following bankruptcy. With this book, you will be able to rebuild your credit to a 700 FICO score, within 2 years following bankruptcy.

We have offices in San Diego (corner of Balboa Ave and Genesee Ave.) and in Escondido (near downtown). Free appointment in either office.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

We practice bankruptcy law because it is satisfying to provide such a tremendous help to our clients. When you are able to provide an honorable solution to a problem which has been distressing a client for years, it becomes more than a way to make a living. The hugs from clients at the end are great too!

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

When you hire a bankruptcy attorney, you must choose from a big, impersonal firm with lots of attorneys, paralegals and clerks....or smaller firm that can pay attention to you.

I've always chosen to remain a small firm because I like to know my clients and provide a specialized service to help solve their problems.

My education and experience allows me to brag a little: I'm a San Diego State University graduate and a University of San Diego School of Law graduate. I've been representing debtors in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court since 1982 and have filed 1,000's of bankruptcies. I'm an active member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys ( and a mediator at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. I'm also the author of: "Life After Bankruptcy".

If you were to check my credentials and reviews, you will find I'm well regarded by both the Better Business Bureau and the State Bar Association.
