Good Attorneys At Law, P.A. counsels clients in aviation tax, IRS defense, sales and use tax and other tax matters. I also represent musicians, performing artists, fashion models and TV personalities in entertainment law and brand development.
I founded the firm in 2008 to provide an exceptional level of service to aviation, tax and entertainment law clients. Our main office is in Miami, Florida where we serve a worldwide clientele.
I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of clients seeking well-reasoned, plain-English advice in federal and state tax matters. My favorable results in audit defense matters have included "no change" letters in IRS examinations and resolving state tax disputes. I have closed hundreds of aircraft transactions involving everything from light sport aircraft to Fortune 100 business jets, and worked with musicians and DJs in copyright and trademark matters.

I price my services competitively depending on the subject area and complexity of the work. I pride myself on efficient, honest billing for top quality work at a "boutique" level of service. I try and offer estimates or flat rates wherever possible, as I know clients like to know what their fees will look like in advance and want control over the process.

I enjoy utilizing my special training in tax law (LL.M. distinction) in coming up with answers to the hard tax questions. I take great pleasure in helping my clients with their business tax needs. This can include everything from which entity to form to how to structure your relationships with other partners or shareholders to the types of deductions you can take and how to take them.
I have specific experience working with private aircraft owners. This is very narrowly focused area of the tax law is fascinating in that you can achieve substantial cost savings when purchasing a business plane. Advising clients in this area requires somebody with not only a firm grounding in tax law, but also in the specific nuances of aviation law.
Getting audited by the IRS or the Florida Department of revenue can be a nerve-racking experience. I enjoy helping my clients wherever possible, to be the tax man and keep more of what they earn. One thing I've discovered is how important it is for anyone who is audit to reach out to a professional immediately, so that you do not compromise your rights or provide information that's not required. While the taxing authorities might be very nice and very professional, the fact is they are not on your side the way your employer will be.
As an entertainer myself (drummer and DJ) I have been lucky enough to represent my fellow artists in the legal issues common to the entertainment industry, including copyright, trademark, contract and licensing issues. This area of my practice developed through my friendships with others in the fashion and music industries and has grown from there. I take personal satisfaction in seeing my clients' success both as businesspeople and entertainers.
The key is for my clients to have a good understanding of their problem and the possible range of solutions. Of course, the better educated you are coming through the door to more in depth we can get early in the process. I look at the attorney-client relationship as just that, a relationship. I am your coach in figuring out the right plays for the job.
For quality, ethical and insurance reasons, I gear my practice towards drafting any documents my clients need.

I have global experience in representing taxpayers nationwide in a wide range of tax matters. Some notable accomplishments include assisting the State of Colorado to develop a uniform approach to taxing general aviation leasing structures, which approach has since been adopted in numerous other states. I have successfully defended dozens of clients facing hundreds of thousands of dollars of sales and use tax exposure or liability.
I have enjoyed a unique blend of work experiences not only in the law but in technology, human resources, and health care. As an entrepreneur with my own firm, I have a particular appreciation for the needs of businesspeople. I have a variety of different interests in music, sports and technology that broaden my exposure and perspective on life.
I try not to take myself too seriously and to listen to my clients' needs with empathy and understanding.Personal interests:
Music (I am a drummer and a DJ) and great movies.
