Law Office of Antonio G. Jimenez

Firm Overview

Whereas most attorneys in Miami will accept a DUI case not many concentrate their practice in this complex area of law. Instead they take whatever criminal case comes in or worst, they accept any type of legal case. My practice is devoted to DUI defense in Miami, FL. I concentrate my practice in the art of defending driver's accused of drunk driving and this concentration has enabled me to be an effective advocate for my clients. I handle all cases personally from start to finish. I do not have a large volume of cases and I am accessible to my clients at all times. My law practice is a law firm first and a business second. I am in it because I have a true passion for criminal law and, specifically, DUI defense. If you are facing a DUI in Miami please contact me directly so that I may answer any questions you have and provide you with a free case evaluation. Let's talk about your case and what defenses it might have. I provide a free case review and can explain in detail what your options are and what to expect during the legal course. I do not charge for the initial consultation.

Finally, please remember that you must contact the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DMV) within 10 days of your arrest date or you lose your right to contest your license suspension. If I am retained during the initial 10 days of your arrest, I always include this service and representation at the hearing at no extra cost.

My practice is heavily focused in DUI defense.
Even though I am a criminal lawyer by trade and I have experience defending all levels of crimes my true passion is DUI defense. I handle the defense personally and I prepare every case as if trial is the ultimate destination. I am constantly attending DUI seminars on a yearly basis so that I can stay up to date on the law and defenses.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

As a former prosecutor I enjoyed practicing criminal law. So when I started my practice in 2008 it was all about criminal defense. Slowly with the years I begin to develop a true passion for DUI defense and this passion has evolved into my calling. DUIs is all I want to do; day in and day out. DUI law is truly complex. There are many issues and defenses and challenges that occur on every single case. If you don't concentrate your practice in this area of law you will quickly fall behind and not be a successful advocate for your clients.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

It's the personal touch and the dedication to one area of law. Too many attorneys only care about making money to pay for their massive overhead and to sustain a certain lifestyle. The problem with this approach is that clients suffer. I do not employ a staff and I have a very reasonable overhead. My approach since I started my practice in 2008 has been to defend clients to the best of my abilities and to give them the representation they deserve. The only way to do this is to accept a limited number of cases on a monthly basis and concentrate in one area of law so that I can stay up to date on the latest laws and defenses. This makes me different because I am truly a lawyer and not a marketing/business man.

What are your policies about dividing work within the firm to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

I am the only attorney at my firm and I do not employ a legal assistant. Thus, all work is performed by me. Clients hire me; they don't hire a firm with people in it. They expect that their attorney will do the work and will fight for them. That's what I provide and that's what I have been doing since 2008.

Antonio Jimenez

I served in the U.S. Navy from 1997 to 2002 where I was stationed on the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy CV-67 and on shore duty in San Diego, CA. During my time in San Diego, I enrolled and graduated from National University. I was accepted into law school in 2002 and I spent three terrific years studying at Stetson University in Gulfport, FL. After law school I accepted a position as a prosecutor in Miami starting in August 2005 and ending in December 2007. I prosecuted misdemeanors, domestic violence cases, felonies and, of course DUIs. This experience was invaluable and led me to successfully start my law practice in January 2008 with a focus on criminal defense, which has since morphed into a concentration in DUI defense.
