As a former felony trial prosecutor, John Conard knows how the government puts a case together, and how to fight back.
Your case is unique and critically important to you. Your case may impact your life for many years to come. You do not want your case to be handled by a high volume firm taking a one size fits all approach.
We take only as many cases as we can fully litigate. We prepare each case for trial and investigate the matter fully and thoroughly. Even if the case does not reach trial, being ready, willing, and able to fight brings the best results for our clients.
We provides aggressive, thorough and compassionate representation. Each case is litigated with a unique and creative approach combining John Conard's trial experience and technical knowledge about Forensic Evidence. We use investigators and expert witnesses when needed to provide a complete defense.
Every case is critical because you future, freedom, and reputation are on the line. We treat each case accordingly from DWI to Murder.

I have always seen myself as a people's lawyer. After significant experience as a prosecutor I discovered that I wanted to defend people, not lock them away. I fight every day for justice and to defend my client's rights. I love to help good people fight back in their darkest moments.
I have worked on more than 2,000 cases and have tried serious felony matters as both a prosecutor and as a defense attorney. Knowing how police and prosecutors work, from an inside perspective gives me a unique ability to create winning strategies for each case.
We do not take and warehouse dozens of cases each month. We have decided to limit the number of cases so that we can deliver outstanding service and results. Good legal work is difficult and takes time. We are prepared to devote the resources of the firm to each case.
We focus on trial preparation. By preparing each case to fight and win we work to uncover whatever weakness we can find in the State's case. Even if the matter is settled, the settlements are better for our clients because we fight the case until we get what we want.
Even in high school I knew I would be fighting for others as my life's work. I started debate and mock trial in seventh grade. By the time I graduated I was the first in my highschool to win the National Forensic League Seal of Superior Distinction.
I went to college on a debate scholarship where I won the National Attorney Award, and won most regional tournaments three years in a row. By the time I graduated, I had completed more than 90 mock trials on a national stage.
I went to law school on scholarship where I graduate third in my class with top honors. I was selected to law review twice and was selected to represent my school in the Nation Trial Lawyers competition.
I have worked as a government lawyer and prosecutor and have also defended more than 2,000 criminal cases.
When I started my firm I decided to focus on quality rather than volume. I take each case seriously and fight the matter vigorously. I know that my clients are human beings who are scared and who need someone that will defend their rights and dignity.
Each year a select group of lawyers is picked from around the country to spend 3 weeks with legendary trial lawyers. Graduates become F- Warriors, lawyers for people.
Graduated Summa Cum Laude, top honors, ranked third in his law school class. While at William Mitchell, John Conard was selected for law review twice, on the dean's list all semesters, and selected to represent William Mitchell at the Nation Trial Lawyers College competition.
