Collaborative Divorce

Collaborative law is a cooperative approach to working through divorces, allowing the divorcing couple to control the outcome of their case privately and without litigation.

In a collaborative case, the parties and their attorneys commit to working together to resolve their case outside of court. Professionals, such a financial advisor, divorce coach, or childrenâs advocate, may also be used to help everyone understand the issues and the consequences of certain decisions and choices.

In cases involving children, no one knows better than the parents themselves what will be best for a certain child. Courts will issue orders on what is believed to be in the childâs best interest, but the end result is often an order with which neither parent is satisfied. Collaborative law allows parents to come to their own agreements, based on what is best for their family.

She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maine School of Law, cum laude, in 1995. Practicing for many years near Fort Hood, Anna also gained a great deal of experience in military matters -- experience she has put to use in family law cases where one or more of the parties is, or was, a member of the military.

Anna is a member New Hampshire Association for Justice, the Manchester Bar Association, New Hampshire Womenâs Bar Association, the Family Section of the New Hampshire Bar Association, the Collaborative Law Alliance of New Hampshire and the International Association of Collaborative Law Professionals.

Anna chose to accept cases in this practice area as she saw it as a field within which she could often have a direct and immediate positive impact on her client's lives.
