Anna recognizes that cases involving divorce and other family law matters bring people to her at one of the most difficult times in their lives. She believes strongly that cases can be handled in a way the protects her client's rights and interests, while focusing on what is best for any children involved and causing the least amount of emotional damage possible. Anna chose to accept cases in this practice area as she saw it as a field within which she could often have a direct and immediate positive impact on her client's lives.
Anna Goulet Zimmerman received her Bachelor of Arts, with majors in Political Science and Philosophy, from the University of Vermont in 1992. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maine School of Law, cum laude, in 1995. Practicing for many years after law school near Fort Hood, Texas, before returning to New England in 2007, Anna gained a great deal of experience in military matters -- experience she has put to use in family law cases where one or more of the parties is, or was, a member of the military.
Anna is a member New Hampshire Association for Justice, the Manchester Bar Association, New Hampshire Womenâs Bar Association, the Family Section of the New Hampshire Bar Association, the Collaborative Law Alliance of New Hampshire and the International Association of Collaborative Law Professionals.
Anna was a New Enland Rising Star, Super Lawyers Magazine, in 2009, 2009 and 2010. Recently, Anna authored âDivorce in the Trenches,â a guide to military divorces, published in Bar Journal of the New Hampshire Bar Association in the Summer of 2012.
