Trucking Accident
Trucking accidents are much different than automobile accidents. You need an attorney that understands these differences.
Trucking cases involve claims against interstate and intrastate carriers. Generally, federal regulations apply to intrastate carriers, but can also apply to intrastate carriers. An evaluation of which laws apply should be done to determine which safety regulations apply to the case. There are various other ways to get information related to the trucking company and the driver that caused the collision.
An initial investigation should to be done as soon after the wreck as possible, and, typically, an accident reconstruction expert is retained. Also, letters are sent to the trucking company to preserve evidence and to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to get records related to the trucking company.
Contact is made with the insurance company for the trucking company. If a satisfactory settlement can't be reached with the trucking company's insurance, a lawsuit is filed against the trucking company.

Jeff Golomb
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Mr. Golomb and his family immigrated to Orlando, Florida in 1976. Mr. Golomb obtained an undergraduate degree from Emory University in 1990 and a J.D. degree from the Florida State University School of Law in 1993. Mr. Golomb practiced with the law firm of Morriss & Witcher, P.A. from 1995 until 2008. During that time, Mr. Golomb litigated hundreds of cases in state and federal courts. In January, 2009, Mr. Golomb was a founding member of the law firm of Krause, Golomb & Witcher, LLC. Mr. Golomb has recently decided to hang out his own shingle.
Mr. Golomb is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and Florida. He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the Atlanta Bar. Mr. Golomb has been selected by Atlanta Magazine as a Georgia Rising Super Lawyer in Real Estate Litigation.
Mr. Golomb lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children.
