Gerald practice includes consumer bankruptcy law in Texas. With over thirty-five years of legal experience, Gerald first started his law practice in San Antonio in 1986. Since that time he has helped many families save their homes, vehicles and other property using the federal bankruptcy laws.

Gerald is originally from Pollard, AL, population 100 in South Alabama. He worked his way through college and law school, at time holding down a full time job while taking a full college load. He graduated from Cleveland State University with a B.A. in Economics in 1971. He received a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law School in 1974. He likes to say "he wasn't born in a suit, and can really respect it when a person comes to him and, in effect, only wants help so they can help themselves, such as when folks need their vehicles to work or to get to work."

For five years he fought for worker rights in the Office of the Solicitor of the United States Department of Labor serving in his latest position as a Senior Trial Attorney. He is most proud of a case in which he got a fired railroad worker re-hired with back pay and seniority. The railroad worker had been fired because he demanded a portable toilet and refused to relieve himself in the bushes.

He has been blessed to have been married to his wife, Carla for thirty-seven years and to have three grown children, and three grandchildren.
