State Licensed In
As an attorney licensed in the state of Ohio, I can handle any legal matter within the state, and can represent Social Security Disability claimants in all 50 states.
Firm Focus
With over 23 years of legal experience, our firm primarily focuses our areas of practice on Social Security Disability, Workers Compensation, & Personal Injury law.
Firm History
After representing employers in workers compensation, disability, and employment law matters, I founded my own firm in 2005. Since 2005 I have helped hundreds of Workers Compensation, Disability, and Injured claimants get their full benefits available under the law.
Activities and Awards
Member of the Ohio State Bar; Member of the Cleveland Metro Bar Association; Participant in the Legal Aid Society Pro Se Divorce Clinic, Pro Bono services provided to the Spanish American Committee
Example Cases
We recently were able to obtain an SSDI back award in excess of $15,000 for the children of an applicant who unfortunately passed away prior to his SSA Administrative Hearing. The claimant had been previously denied at the initial stage as well as at the reconsideration stage.
What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
We feel that all clients should be well educated regarding the legal process, and provide our clients with materials to help them understand the law & their situation better.
Are your attorneys willing to review documents prepared by clients?
Each case is unique, and in some circumstances we will review documents which have been prepared by the client.
Are your attorneys willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
Unfortunately due to the Ohio Code of Professional responsibility, we cannot coach clients who choose to represent themselves.
Are your attorneys willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?
Each case is evaluated based on its unique set of facts, and in some instances we can take on only part of a case. For example, we are willing to take on Disability clients at all stages of the process, and have taken on clients less than a month prior to their ALJ Hearing.
What are your policies about dividing work among the firm's partners, associates, and paralegals to make the process most cost-effective for the client?
We strive to minimize costs by assigning the appropriate individuals, both in and outside of the firm (i.e. experts) to handle each relevant part of the case.
How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?
We have found mediation to be an extremely cost effective way to handle claims, but will confidently proceed to trial if necessary.
Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?
We provide several hours of pro bono work through our local Bar Associations, Legal Aid Society, as well as other Community organizations.
What distinguishes your law firm from others?
Communicating promptly and effectively with our clients, and prospective clients, is our #1 priority. We are committed to responding to all inquiries, questions, and concerns the same day, and at latest the following day, whether the inquiry comes during the business day, evening, or on weekends. We will also meet with clients and prospective clients where it is convenient for them, instead of requiring that they come to our offices.
