Firm History

In 1995, James and John Tenn of Tenn And Tenn, P.A. established a New Hampshire law firm of trial lawyers committed to providing the highest level of client service and trial advocacy. Example Cases

Our NH Motorcycle Accident Lawyers received a 2.25 Million Dollar Settlement for an injured motorcycle rider. At Tenn and Tenn, P.A. we work with our clients to ensure that they are well-informed. Many areas of New Hampshire law are complex and often not easily ascertainable for non-lawyers. We believe that having a well-informed client is essential to obtaining a successful result.

Are your attorneys willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes. In New Hampshire, the Court rules allow for an attorney to provide "unbundled legal services" -- essentially assisting a client on a limited basis. We are willing, under certain circumstances, to work with a client on a discrete part of their case. We are flexible and can assist a client on a limited basis when we believe that it is in the client's best interest.

Are your attorneys willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

When presented with a matter that we believe can be adequately handled by an individual, we have consulted with clients on a limited basis. We are willing, under certain circumstances, to work with a client on discrete part of case, when we believe that it is in the client's best interest.

In many personal injury cases, we are retained on a contingent fee basis and are motivated by success. No matter the type of case, at Tenn And Tenn, P.A. one of our attorneys will be intimately involved in all aspects of the case, taking the lead, and working with others in the office as needed.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

Often. Our experience is that a great majority of individual and business disputes are resolved without trial. At Tenn And Tenn, P.A. we understand that the negotiation of a favorable settlement requires careful preparation, and a firm grasp of the relevant facts and law. Over the years, we have achieved successful results for our clients at mediation because of our preparation. Early on, we work with our clients to develop a strategy, and when appropriate, position the case for resolution short of trial. All of our attorneys are experienced in alternative dispute resolution, and two of our attorneys are trained mediators.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

Our lawyers are actively involved in a number of professional organizations, and regularly volunteer their time in community based organizations. We believe that involvement in civic, charitable, business and trade, and other social organizations offers tremendous opportunities for personal and professional growth. Our community involvement also keeps us aware of current events and issues relative to our practice and the needs of our clients. Community involvement is an integral part of our commitment to excellence and our dedication to building relationships with our clients, and our co-workers in the communities that we serve.
Examples of our involvement include one lawyer who served as the President of the New Hampshire Bar Association, and two lawyers who served as President of the Manchester Bar Association. Our lawyers also have been appointed by the New Hampshire Supreme Court to serve on various committees including the Professional Conduct Hearings Committee regarding attorney discipline as well as the Board of Bar Examiners. Additionally, our lawyers have been actively involved in Leadership NH, Leadership Manchester, and the Girl Scouts to name a few.
