I am a solo practitioner, so my clients deal with me. I have a great patent agent who helps me compile materials and research so I can do the final work. I have done many computer automation tools, so I have reduced staff cost due to high levels of computer tool usage.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I think the best patents are done when clients educate themselves about the legal aspects of patenting. I have always supported clients who self learn about patenting and I have developed software to help people prepare their own patent applications.
