Free Initial Consultation?

I offer a free initial telephone consultation for up to around 15 minutes on all cases except contested divorces. For those I offer an office consultation of 1 hour for $175.

Services Offered For Fixed Fees?

I do uncontested divorces for flat rates starting at $500 plus court costs. I prepare papers for Green Card by Marriage cases for $995 plus court costs.

Yes, but subject to ethical rules.

What are your policies about dividing work within the firm to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

Some routine matters are best handled by a paralegal such as making copies, attaching exhibits, and some routine telephone calls.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

I would refer to a specialist mediator or firm.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

I do a large amount of court appointed work, which while not strictly pro bono is at a low rate of compensation.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

I am a summa cum laude graduate with over 18 years of experience, yet my hourly rates and flat rates are very reasonable. I am rated A+ by the better business bureau.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I believe that people should be educated consumers, but sometimes a little learning is a dangerous thing. You wouldn't tell a brain surgeon which instruments to use to operate on your child.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes.

Sometimes, depending on the complexity and importance of the case.
