What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

At my firm, I don’t bill for every phone call, e-mail, or question about general law. I’ll try to educate you as best as possible and charge for the actual work involved.

Are your attorneys willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes, we often review agreements and forms prepared by clients.

Are your attorneys willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

No, although I’m willing to work out a low price so that I can work for a long term on your behalf.

Are your attorneys willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

Yes, if there is a specific question and the other attorney is completely satisfied with having me answer the discrete part.

What are your policies about dividing work among the firm's partners, associates, and paralegals to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

As a solo practitioner that works alone, I do all the work, but I don’t charge for listening to voicemails, reading e-mail, or answering calls and keep my hourly billing reasonable.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

Whenever possible.
