Following stints as active-duty lawyers in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps, attorneys Jeff Luhrsen and Julie Luhrsen returned to Florida and began practicing injury law in the late 1990's. Helping the injured pursue justice against wrongdoers was a logical progression from the years the two spent helping soldiers and their families with legal problems. The common thread for them was about helping their clients get back on their feet and on the road to recovery -- literally and figuratively.
In the course of their work, both also developed a keen desire to help those who were victimized as a result of an alcohol-related incident. In their mind, injuries (or deaths) resulting from alcohol abuse and under-age drinking are no accident; they are completely preventable. Victims of alcohol-related incidents look to Luhrsen Law Group to hold those responsible accountable -- by pursuing compensation for their losses and also by working to prevent similar incidents within the community.
Attorney Jeffrey Luhrsen has earned numerous awards and recognition for his volunteer efforts focused on ending drunk driving and under-aged drinking. In addition to his law degree (J.D.) from Stetson University College of Law, he holds a post-graduate LL.M. degree in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law. He is rated AV® Preeminent⢠by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest level attainable by an attorney.

Luhrsen Law Group with four attorneys and a select group of non-attorney support staff dedicate themselves to reaching the best outcome possible for our clients. Providing superior legal work while also offering top-notch customer service is our goal. To do that, we seek to keep our clients well-informed about the progress of their cases while allowing them the time to focus on their recovery. As appropriate, we also strive to provide our clients with the information necessary to understand the issues in their cases and to offer them thoughtful, reasoned recommendations so that they, in turn, can make well-informed decisions. Simply put, "knowledge is power!"
In order to best attain these goals, we are selective as to the cases we handle. This, in turn, allows us to devote the time, attention and energy that every client deserves.
While many cases settle in the pre-lawsuit phase, not all do. Cases in litigation are required to go through the mediation process prior to trial. Our litigation team, which handles all aspects of a lawsuit (from discovery to mediation to trial) works to set our litigation files up so that they can be successfully brought to a conclusion at mediation (or thereafter). As a result, many of our litigation cases are resolved short of trial.
Yes. Luhrsen Law Group attorneys and staff volunteer their time with various community organiations. Our volunteer efforts include everything from service on the boards of local non-profits to coaching youth sports to legislative lobbying work on behalf of community non-profit agencies to participating in fundraising walk-a-thons and the like. For more details about our community service, please visit www.Luhrsen.com.
Keeping in mind that personal injury cases are generally handled on a contingency fee basis (no attorneys fees or costs owed unless and until a recovery is received), we are functionally organized so that some attorneys and staff devote their time to cases in the pre-lawsuit phase while others work on cases that could not be resolved short of litigation. Divisonal functions are designed precisely to provide the very best legal service and to be efficient to our client's needs.
As mentioned, we believe that "knowledge is power." So, an integral part of what we do is help our clients understand the process; get their questions answered; stay up to speed on the progress of their cases; gain awareness as to any risks or challenges in their cases; and make well-informed decisions by providing them with thoughtful and reasoned advice and counsel.
