What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
We believe that every client needs to know the specifics of their financial situation and how that will impact their future. Our attorneys find that in order to successfully prosecute a case, the client must be able to understand the issues and complexity of their case. However, the Lee Law Firm attorneys know that not every client is well versed in their financial issues and needs an attorney that is patient and compassionate to deal help them through the process. The Lee Law Firm welcomes the opportunity to work with clients from all walks of life.
Are your attorneys willing to review documents prepared by clients?
Absolutely, clients that have prepared documents are always welcomed at Lee Law Firm. The attorneys at the Lee Law Firm believe that clients that have prepared their own documents are typically very informed and prepared, which makes meetings and hearings with these clients very efficient.
Are your attorneys willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
No, because of the complex nature of the bankruptcy process, our attorneys believe that representing clients is serious business and simply coaching a client would not provide them with the thorough services they need. However, many clients qualify for pro bono representation. The Lee Law Firm has a very generous pro bono program and represents many clients at no charge every month.
Are your attorneys willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?
Yes, our attorneys are very flexible and offer each client personalized services that attend to their unique needs. However, there are times in which once we discuss the issues involved, it warrants representation in the whole matter. Furthermore, if there are parts of a case that are not part of our specialty, we have many wonderful relationships with other attorneys throughout the area that would be willing to co-counsel on these issues.
What are your policies about dividing work among the firm's partners, associates, and paralegals to make the process most cost-effective for the client?
We believe that to be a strong leader you have to have strong people around you. That is why our staff is the absolute best to help clients with their problems. Our associate attorneys and paralegals have the knowledge and compassion to help clients through the difficult times they are experiencing.
How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?
Very rarely, as it is the non-combative nature of our areas of practice. However, if a situation warrants such action, these avenues of resolution do become effective.
Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?
Yes absolutely! We understand that our clients are experiencing tough times and our mission is to provide the same high quality legal services to all of our clients at affordable, or pro bono, rates.
What distinguishes your law firm from others?
Our attorneys genuinely care about their clients. We pride ourselves on being fair, honest and upfront with our clients. We always give the honest answer regardless of whether the news is bad or good. The reason is because we feel that the advice received from our firm is always to better circumstances in the long run.
