We are a small firm with the experience of large firms and can offer a more personal, valuable experience.
It is always helpful when a client has educated him/herself prior to hiring an attorney. Having all the information and knowing how the process works makes life and the attorney-client relationship better for all parties.
While we are happy to review documents prepared by clients and provide them with our opinion as to certain issues, it is not our practice to approve or put our stamp of approval on the work of a third party. We have spent years educating ourselves and contemplating the best practice and language in drafting legal documents and would recommend all individuals seek the opinion and assistance of an attorney.
Our firm has entered into flat fee or cafeteria like service agreements, but in general it is no our practice.
In 2010, Shane P. Coleman, after seven years of working in-house in legal departments for large corporations and in a large law firm, decided to open his own practice. The goal was to provide valuable experience, quality work and a personal touch at something other than large law firm prices. Now with his own practice, Mr. Coleman can utilize his past experience and his education (an advanced degree in taxation) to assist those in presently in need or those looking to plan against future problems. It is important to have an estate plan, if for no other reason than to make life more simple for those you love. The end of life can be a difficult thing, but having your estate in order can make the process a lot easier.
