What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

It is our mission to walk our clients through their legal concerns so that they have have a greater sense of empowerment and understanding of the challenges involved in a lawsuit. In that regard, an educated client is a client who is better able to work in partnership with the attorney, which leads to more efficient problem solving.

Are your attorneys willing to review documents prepared by clients?

As part of the free initial consultation, all clients are encouraged and in some cases required to bring documentation, such as medical records, which they feel supports their claim.

Are your attorneys willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Under certain circumstances, yes.

Are your attorneys willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

If possible to do so without prejudicing the client's claims.

What are your policies about dividing work among the firm's partners, associates, and paralegals to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

As a sole practitioner, the client can be sure that they are getting more bang for their legal buck as I will be able to handle the most specific legal aspects of the case while leaving administrative tasks to the appropriate support staff.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

Where appropriate, we do prefer to use mediation, arbitration and/or collaborative law as a means of resolving the client's legal issues more quickly, more efficiently and at reduced overall cost to the client.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

Yes, we are involved in a variety of non-profit and legal aid centers in multiple communities throughout the south SF bay area.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

As an experienced, bilingual attorney who has practiced law in California and Mexico, the client will be sure to receive a level of service and attention above and beyond that of a larger, more impersonal firm. We operate in a friendly, efficient and professional manner to provide the most outstanding service at the most reasonable cost to the client.

Nolo's Licensing Check

Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any state licensing agency.
