What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Are your attorneys willing to review documents prepared by clients?
An initial consultation is free.
Are your attorneys willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
No, however, the firm provides many free resources on Nevada workers’ compensation law.
Are your attorneys willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?
No. When the attorney agrees to represent an injured worker, the attorney handles the entire claim.
What are your policies about dividing work among the firm's partners, associates, and paralegals to make the process most cost-effective for the client?
Not applicable. The attorney works on a contingency fee basis.
How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?
Mediation is court mandated at the Nevada Supreme Court level. Otherwise, it is not used very much with contested administrative cases.
Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?
The firm publishes free legal guides that are available to all. The firm also sponsors an Olympic hopeful weightlifter.
What distinguishes your law firm from others?
The firm is small, and prides itself on providing old-fashioned personal service, where the attorney and assistants know the clients, have frequent client communications, and continue to provide valuable guidance after the attorney fee is paid. This is not a volume-focused firm.
