What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I encourage all of my clients to learn as much as possible about the legal issues that impact their lives. Understanding the law and the legal process is essential to making good decisions about your case.

Are your attorneys willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes. Reviewing documents is part of my job as your attorney and I’m happy to look over anything you bring me.

Are your attorneys willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I would be willing to do this under most circumstances.

Are your attorneys willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

Yes. I am here to offer you as much or as little help as you need.

What are your policies about dividing work among the firm's partners, associates, and paralegals to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

I will personally perform all work related to your case.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

I am happy to work with clients who are interested in mediation. However, I will usually not recommend alternative dispute resolution in cases involving domestic violence.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

I have a small pro bono practice representing victims of domestic violence who cannot afford legal representation.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

I run a small shop with low overhead, which means I am able to give you personal attention at very affordable prices. I treat every client as if they were my only client.

Nolo's Licensing Check

Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the state agency that licenses lawyers upon joining the directory.

Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any state licensing agency.
