Firm Focus
We are a litigation firm focused on helping victims of catastrophic injuries and accidents.
Firm History
Unlike most law firms, we DO NOT take on a large number of cases. Instead, all of our time is committed to a small number of important clients. This selective process allows us to concentrate our resources on each specific legal matter. By utilizing the newest technology, document handling software, and a virtual office environment, we are able to provide high-end legal services at a significantly reduced cost. Personal attention and one-on-one interaction is what makes the office so unique. Krekor believes that superior service is the way that law should be practiced. Clients always know what is happening with their case. They will always have access to their client file and case information 24hours a day.
Activities and Awards
Krekor is AVVO rated and maintains active memberships in multiple legal associations including the American Bar Association and The New Jersey State Bar Association. He is a contributor to the Wounded Warrior charity, Operation Homefront, the Association of the United States Army, World Vision, and other national charities.
Example Cases
A list of recent cases is available on our website www.krekor.com. Other lawyers list settlements and verdicts on their website as a marketing ploy. Krekor made a conscious decision to never do that. Why? He believes that these numbers need to remain confidential. We have never come across a Plaintiff that would want any part of their personal financial information on the internet; especially if it's used as part of a lawyer's advertising campaign. Defendants who come to settlement agreements NEVER want those numbers released to the public because it would completely undermine any future ability to settle for less with other Plaintiffs. It's just common sense. Krekor maintains an unwavering moral code, and confidentiality of our client's dictates that posting that information (which legal) would violate that code. Just because a firm doesn't brag about their cases, don't assume it's because they don't have something to brag about. It may actually be because they think more highly of their clients than other firms' think of theirs.
What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
Krekor strongly believes in continued client education. The more a client knows about their own case, the more likely that a successful outcome will be obtained. Many large firms like to play "hide the ball" from their clients. We don't do that. We believe in investing the time necessary to educate our clients on the laws and procedures of their case.
Are your attorneys willing to review documents prepared by clients?
Any client wishing to have documents reviewed has several options! Every client has the opportunity to access the firm's Secure Client Portal. This technology allows a client to securely upload documents, review documents online, collaborate with the attorney and make changes on the fly. It's a truly remarkable cutting edge system that was unheard of only a few years ago.
Are your attorneys willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
There is an old saying that goes, "I lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client". Likewise, "A client that represents himself has a fool for a lawyer". It is generally a poor decision to allow clients to represent themselves in court. On rare occasions, exceptions to the rule do occur. But generally, this only happens in simple cases where there has been enough client education ahead of time.
Are your attorneys willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?
It is not at all uncommon to be retained on a specific legal matter or for a portion of a case. Many legal matters are very complex and it becomes necessary for a client to request help with a single, discrete part of a case. When this happens, Krekor has been very successful in assisting clients with highly specific issues within a broader litigation.
What are your policies about dividing work among the firm's partners, associates, and paralegals to make the process most cost-effective for the client?
The firm's core values are realized through targeted dynamic distribution to a concentrated team of legal professionals. Because every case and every client has unique requirements, decisions regarding research, review, writing, and evidence handling are made on a case-by-case basis to provide the client with the very best cost/value ratio.
How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?
It depends. Luckily, Krekor concentrated many of his law school studies in upcoming area of Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution and became a certified court mediator. He understands the competing dynamic of resolving cases early in the financial cycle, vs. obtaining the best possible outcome for a client. Many times collaborative lawyering is a much better choice than head-on litigation. Rest assured, that every legal issue is independently evaluated and that the path leading to the best for the client is always the path that is followed.
Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?
Yes! Krekor takes great pride in being a Military Pro Bono Attorney. Recognized by the American Bar Association, he has helped many soldiers and their families who cannot afford traditional legal representation.
What distinguishes your law firm from others?
Everything! The office was established from the ground up using the very latest in cutting-edge legal technology and cloud computer software. The streamlined structure of the firm allows clients "always on" integration directly into the firms secure server system. Most firms rely on outdated computers and technology, inefficient paper based systems, redundant employee task assignments, and layers of billing bureaucracy. All of that has been eliminated. Krekor offers a paperless, digital document system with multiple redundancies and highly secure document servers. The result? A new kind of law office and a new level of client service.
