Activities and Awards
SuperLawyer, Rising Star; Chair of the Board of Trustees, Lawyer Referral & Information Service of the Atlanta Bar Association
Example Cases
Obtained a $15 million dollars settlement for a seriously injured client and his family one month before trial. Incredibly, other lawyers refused to accept this case. Persistence allowed us to discovery critical evidence that dramatically increased the recovery for this family. In another matter, KGW was retained as trial counsel, taking over a case that was poorly handled. After a few months, KGW recovered more than double prior attorney evaluations. Our hard work, grit, and commitment has resulted in important recoveries for both our business and injury clients.
What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
We believe that the more involved the client the better the outcome. We spend significant time in working with our clients, particularly listening to our clients so that we can develop the case, allowing the clients to be informed about their decisions, and ultimately, maximizing the recovery.
Are your attorneys willing to review documents prepared by clients?
It depends on the types of documents.
Are your attorneys willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
No. There are some great resources available on the web regarding self-representation. Roger Krause was appeared on the Layman’s Lawyer Radio Show on 790am on the topic of how to prepare your case in magistrate court.
Are your attorneys willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?
With the right circumstances, yes.
What are your policies about dividing work among the firm's partners, associates, and paralegals to make the process most cost-effective for the client?
Unlike the large firms, the attorney you hire is the attorney that will work on the case. Certainly some work is done by associates and paralegals, but the partners at KGW are intimately involved in the day to day issues of your case.
How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?
We use mediation and arbitration only when warranted. Our philosophy is that we prepare every case for a jury trial. Why? Because by being prepared to go in front of a jury in every case we handle, the lawyers and insurance companies we oppose are forced to reckon with us. This leads to favorable settlements for our clients.
Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?
KGW is active in the legal community, playing critical leadership roles in the bar organizations, speaking to law school classes, and in continuing legal education.
What distinguishes your law firm from others?
Krause Golomb & Witcher LLC distinguishes itself by bringing creative and practical solutions to your legal problems. Our approach is to fully understand your case and aggressively advocate on your behalf from day one until your case is satisfactorily and fully concluded. Your concerns are our concerns and it’s our privilege to serve you.

Fixed-Price Services and Fees

Free Initial Consultation?
In most cases, we offer a free initial consultation, in which the most basic elements of your case are discussed. Only after we have entered into a written contract for legal services, should you rely upon the initial discussion as legal advice. This is because each case is fact dependent, and only by obtaining all the facts and in-depth legal analysis can a legal opinion be rendered.
Typical Retainer
In most injury cases, we don't charge a retainer. In non-injury cases, we sometimes charge a retainer, which varies based upon the complexity of the case.
Nolo's Licensing Check
Attorneys have passed a licensing check. Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the state agency that licenses lawyers upon joining the directory.
Directory lawyers are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any state licensing agency.
