Is your firm willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

Yes

What are your policies about dividing work within the firm to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

We generally assign two lawyers to each case so we can keep the costs down by assigning some work to a less expensive lawyer and to be sure there is extra coverage, should it be needed. In addition, a paralegal is assigned to the file to handle the day-to-day tasks and to make sure that some tasks are billed at a lower rate.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

40% of our cases utilize these services to resolve lingering issues.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

We currently do not accept Pro Bono work directly, but do work with a local organization, Metro Volunteer Lawyers, who are geared to helping those in need of legal services for little or no cost.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

We use a team approach at the Johnson Sauer Legal Group. It allows us to utilize the experiences of our entire team to ensure you receive the best legal counseling possible to help you resolve your case.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

The Johnson Sauer Legal Group encourages our clients to be informed of the legal process. We want our clients to understand why we made certain choices on their behalf and feel confident in the results.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

No

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

No

Jason A. Freeman

During law school, working is student attorney in free Legal Aid clinic assisting low income families in the city of Detroit.

My primary focus has been specializing in family law from the Denver Metro Area, but I have also had cases from throughout the state from the Kansas border to the Western slope. Working with a fine group of family law attorneys has helped me quickly gain knowledge and expertise to benefit my clients.

My strengths are in my ability to aggressively and zealously advocate for clients without doing so simply for the sake of being aggressive and stirring the pot in a way that unnecessarily damages the client's abilities to co-parent their children in the long term.

Personal interests:

Snowboarding, mountain biking and hiking.

Robert Pomper

2006-2010--Director of Litigation at the Law Firm of Jeffery M. Leving - Managed caseload of the entire office as well as my own individual caseload.

I have known people who have gone through difficult divorces and they always felt that, on top of having a great attorney, it was helpful to have an attorney that tried to understand what they were experiencing.

I believe that I am a good listener and am able to assess for a client a strategy that will then need to be continually updated and monitored as facts may change. If it is in my client's best interest to try to settle, then that will be what is attempted. However, sometimes, for many different reasons, settlements are not possible and then I enjoy litigating and advocating for my client in court.
