Is your firm willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

Depending on the unique situation, we will gladly help with certain aspects of a case without taking it on in its entirety. We want to best serve our clients and will do whatever is required of us to ensure that their needs are met.

What are your policies about dividing work within the firm to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

We have a team attitude at Arnold & Itkin. We try to take advantage of the many bright legal minds that work at our firm. We are proud of our team and strongly believe that regardless of who is working on a case, that individual will be able to provide our clients with high-quality and effective representation.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

We will use whatever means is necessary for us to get the desired outcome on behalf of our clients. In many cases, we are able to gain the best outcome through out-of-court negotiations, but we have adopted a mindset of preparing every case as if it is going to trial. This not only give us an upperhand in negotiations, but also ensures that we are prepared for any possibility that may arise once a case is filed. In regards to mediation, arbitration and collaborative law, we never take anything completely off the table and consider all options.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

We strongly believe in participating in the community. I am a proud member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and make significant contributions throughout the year to help further their cause. I also participate in many outreach programs and donate to many different charities.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

Our firm is unique in that we are not afraid to take a case to trial. We know that many of the best outcomes are won on the steps of a courthouse and we make it known that we will always take a case there if needs be. This means that even our youngest lawyers have been involved in more trials than most attorneys have in their entire careers - and we are just getting started.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

My firm strongly believes that clients should have a basic understanding of the legal issues that they are facing. We also, however, recognize that they will not understand the law as we do. We would never perform surgery on ourselves and we wouldn't expect our clients to represent themselves in court. We make sure to explain the law and its ramifications with our clients so that they can remain involved throughout the entire legal process.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

This depends on the nature of the document being presented to us. Should the document be helpful and should it serve the purpose of furthering our client's goals, we will gladly review it.
