Mr. Folsom has more than 40 years legal experience working with people who have legal issues ranging from traffic tickets and shop lifting to embezzlement, sex crimes, and including first degree murders.

The last murder case where Mr. Folsom represented one of the people resulted in his client getting 3 years in jail while the other person got the death penalty.

He will take traffic cases to trial if that is the correct procedure for the specific case. He has an excellent reputation for working to get great deals on negotiated pleas.

His book is a reference book for all attorneys involved with federal cases. His expertise utilizes all the knowledge he has incorporated from his experience and research.

His diversivied experience includes defending clients in capital murder cases. One client received less than 3 years in prison while the other defendant in the same crime received the death penalty. In other serious felonies his defensive skills have allowed clients to avoid jail for crimes as serious as embezzlement of over a half a million dollars. While such cases are expensive due to the experts and time involved most cases are well within reasonable pricing for the average person.

Everyone needs a basic education in rights and responsibilities. Mr. Folsom provides basic written instruction of what to do if stopped, arrested or questioned. He also has a pamphlet free to all about what your rights really are and why you do and should use the right to remain silent.

You're not helping your case to be your own lawyer because (1) you're an amateur and (2) you're too close and emotional to look at the case logically.

James Folsom

Has worked as both a prosecuting attorney as well as a criminal lawyer. He has done both civil and criminal law. As a Deputy District Attorney he wrote the forfeiture law that is still in use in it's original form.

Graduate of Salesianum High School with a Bachelor of Arts and a Doctorate in Juris Prudence from St. Mary's University.
