I volunteer at a free legal clinic, and on occasion offer services at a reduced rate. There is no set pro-bono policy.

He also offers his clients non-bankruptcy options including low cost Wisconsin §128 repayment plans. His Estate Planning experience ranges from simple Wills to complex Trusts dealing with tax issues, assets spread over several states valued in millions of dollars, and has coordinated U.S. based assets with international holdings. He has helped families prepare for the future of loved ones with special needs and helped preserve family farms and recreational property for use by future generations. He has gained a wealth of experience owning his own small businesses and helping others keep their own businesses thriving. Attorney Hegard takes pride in offering to protect his client's assets by providing cost effective legal advice based on the client's needs rather than on a pre-conceived cookie cutter approach.

We see no issue with a client self educating, however we find they often have incomplete information or have reached inaccurate conclusions. We always attempt to educate our clients to their comfort level so they have some basis for making decisions with respect to the direction their want their case to go.
