What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Clients need to be educated on the laws of bankruptcy so together with their bankruptcy attorney decisions can be made on what is best for the client. Everyone has a unique situation.

Are your attorneys willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes.

Are your attorneys willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

We have many clients who thought they wanted to represent themselves but once they started the process have come to us to help. Filing a Bankruptcy petition is like doing your taxes; you really want a professional to oversee what is being done to ensure it is being done correctly to maximize the benefit of the Bankruptcy.

Are your attorneys willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

There aren't multiple parts of a bankruptcy. Our Bankruptcy Attorneys will see your case from start to finish.

What are your policies about dividing work among the firm's partners, associates, and paralegals to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

Each client has an Attorney and paralegal they communicate with during their filing process. These paralegals and Attorneys can be reached via email and phone for the convenience of the client.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

This almost never happens. Bankruptcy law doesn't generally require mediation because most issues in Bankruptcy don't require litigation.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

Absolutely; we have discounted many cases due to hardship. Again, everyone is in a unique situation.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

We have been doing Bankruptcy for a long time and have seen most scenarios when it comes to bankruptcy. The Bankruptcy Trustees know our attorneys since we have been an established practice for so long in the community.
