Is your firm willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

A lawyer friend suggested a legal career. I have never regretted following his advice.

What are your policies about dividing work within the firm to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

I have represented clients from all walks of life and, as a consequence, I have a wide range of experience representing many different people. Moreover, I have so much experience dealing with prosecutors and police that it serves my clients well. These dealings include county attorneys in Maricopa, Pima, Coconino, Yavapai counties, etc., attorney general and city prosecutors.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

I have always been attracted to the concept of helping those accused of crimes. In doing so, I believe I am supporting the basic principles of our constitutional system.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

I like the defense of those accused of crimes because they are essentially the underdogs in our system of criminal justice.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

Polly, my assistant, is well-qualified to answer many client questions. She provides excellent support and will assist my clients in many ways.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

It is important for clients to do so and I encourage same.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I have no problem with that.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I will offer consultation, but I do not encourage clients or potential clients to represent themselves. The Arizona Court System is complex and confusing, including Municipal Courts, Justice Courts and Superior Courts in Phoenix and the surrounding areas.
