What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Clients should be educated on legal issues, but it is best to learn from lawyers. Sometimes when people learn what they think is the law from non-lawyers they can develop misconceptions. We much prefer people to contact us directly or learn from the information provided on our website about a particular legal issue. Our job is to help educate our clients and keep them well informed.

What are your policies about dividing work among the firm's partners, associates, and paralegals to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

We have experienced attorneys supported by a team of well-qualified paralegals. We also have departments for pre-litigation and litigation. Since we operate on contingency fees and not an hourly basis, this question does not apply to us.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

We use non-binding arbitrations for most of our cases and mediation for approximately 5% of cases.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

We do not do pro bono work, but we pride ourselves on giving back to our community. We participate with Adopt-a-Family during the holidays where we purchase and donate gifts for a local family who is facing financial hardship. We are always looking for ways to help individuals and families in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
