At Conniff Law Offices, our service is our identity. We are a family law firm, representing clients in all aspects of domestic relations. Whether your case is uncontested, collaborative, or litigated, our firm will work zealously to meet your expectations. When a client retains our firm, they have not hired a single lawyer, but a team of dedicated family law practitioners. Our attorneys and support staff work in unison towards the single goal of client satisfaction. Through ongoing communication, our offices are able to quickly respond to every change in your case.
Example casesA husband wanted an amicable divorce, but was worried his spouse may not be cooperative. Our office reached out to the spouse early in the case and remained focused on communication throughout the process. No motions were filed in the case and the parties only went to court to finalize the divorce.
A stay-at-home wife was seeking maintenance from spouse with several high value vested and unvested stock options. Our client and her spouse chose to use collaborative law and hire a financial neutral to value the spouse's assets. The case was resolved outside of court and the stay-at-home wife was awarded maintenance as part of the divorce.
A mother of two was seeking child support from her spouse, who worked as a contractor and was almost entirely paid in cash. Our office successfully argued that the court should impute income onto the spouse and child support was set above the spouse's reported earnings.
An involved parent and busy professional sought parenting time with his minor child. The minor child's mother refused to cooperate. Our office successfully negotiated liberal parenting time with the minor child and won our client joint custody, as well as the right of first refusal and nightly telephone conversations with the minor child.

Our attorneys will assist clients with one or two discrete parts of a case, but we prefer to handle all of our clients' family law issues. These issues are typically interrelated and it is not effective to isolate any single issue and resolve it without impacting, if not outright addressing, the client's other legal issues.
Our firm takes great lengths to reduce our clients' legal costs. When a client retains our firm, they have not hired a single lawyer, but a team of dedicated family law practitioners. Nevertheless, each client chooses which attorney he or she would like to work with.
We frequently use mediation and collaborative law to resolve a case or a specific legal issue. In many instances, a problem is best resolved outside of court, where the parties may speak freely and reach an agreement with the help of a trained, neutral professional.
We do provide pro bono legal services, but not by solicitation.
For over 20 years, the attorneys at Conniff Law Offices have provided clients with family-focused representation. We believe that your attorney should be committed to your family's welfare, not just the short run success of your case. We believe that lawyers should never be the cause of conflict within a family and that all parties should be concerned with the children's best interests. Most importantly, we believe that an attorney and a client should share the same goals.
We encourage all of our clients to learn as much about the law and legal system as they would like. Informed clients make informed decisions and we have made it a priority to educate our clients on the underlying legal issues in their case.
We are willing to review documents prepared by clients, but our expertise is in legal drafting and we almost always prefer to draft and file our own documents.
In almost every situation, we will not coach clients who want to represent themselves. There have been a few cases in which we have consulted with clients who were representing themselves, but these instances have been few and far between.
Conniff Law Offices was founded in 1991. We have been representing clients in family law for over twenty years. Our longevity is predicated on our ability to identify and respond to our clients' needs and to foresee legal issues before they arise. We have always prided ourselves on being family-focused.
Our firm takes great lengths to reduce our clients' legal costs. When a client retains our firm, they have not hired a single lawyer, but a team of dedicated family law practitioners. Nevertheless, each client chooses which attorney he or she would like to work with.
