Our firm believes that an educated client can best assist in their own case. Each attorney makes time to educate the client but also encourages the client to educate themselves and ask questions to clarify confusing information.

Are your attorneys willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes. Our attorneys are willing to review documents prepared by a client and to offer suggestions for improvement.

Are your attorneys willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

In some cases, particularly with divorce or other family issues our attorneys are available to coach a client interested in representing themselves.

Are your attorneys willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

Yes. Our attorneys will file limited notices of appearance to assist a client with one particular aspect of a case.

What are your policies about dividing work among the firm's partners, associates, and paralegals to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

Our firm will delegate drafting, research and document preparation to paralegals whenever feasible without compromising a client's case to reduce the over-all cost of representation since paralegals are billed at a much lower fee that the attorneys.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

Mediation is most often used in family, foreclosure and litigation cases. Many courts require mediation prior to setting a case for trial. Our experiences reveal that a high percentage of cases do get resolved and settle as a result of the mediation.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

Yes. Pro bono legal services are provided by accepting referrals through legal aide.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

When a client is faced with debt issues our firm is capable of addressing the issues in a number of ways whereas many firms only offer one solution and may know little about other available options. Our firm has a holistic approach where we attempt to treat the entire situation keeping in mind goals, current and future needs of the clients.
