There is no charge for a bankruptcy eligibility evaluation or for an initial case review.
• Chapter 7 Bankruptcy: $750 plus courts costs.
• Chapter 13 Bankruptcy: $2500 plus costs
(most of the fees can be paid through your plan)
•Uncontested divorce: $450 plus court costs.
• Name change: $100 plus court costs.
• Wills, trusts, codicils, power of attorney, advanced medical directives are usually $250 and I offer discounted rates for multiple related documents.
$190 for any services not covered by a flat rate.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?
It is always my goal to settle divorce and civil litigation matters outside of court using the most civil method that will serve the interests of my client. Experience has shown that, when parties are able to negotiate a solution themselves, the results are preferable to rulings issued by a court. This is especially important when the parties wish to minimize the hardship to their children.

The Boston Law firm can provide legal services at your home. Appointments are available evenings and weekends. I adjust to your schedule.
What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
I always support anyone's efforts to educate themselves on matters that are important to them. Nevertheless, I advise clients to always discuss legal decisions with counsel as the effects of even small errors can be too great. I also advise a healthy skepticism towards any free advice, especially when it is found on the internet.
Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?
Yes. There will usually be no charge if the documents are relevant to a matter being handled by the firm.
Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?
Yes although my coaching may include a recommendation that they should not handle a matter by themselves.

Eryk Boston is veteran of the United States Army. He studied law at Cambridge University and The University of Richmond where he earned the degree of Juris Doctor. He was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 2008 after his first bar exam. He has since practiced as a VA bankruptcy lawyer in Winchester where his experience has included approximately 600-700 Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases. He has also worked as a divorce lawyer in hundreds of cases and has substantial experience in criminal defense, preparation of wills and related documents and civil litigation. He is a member of Mensa and serves his community as a dog rescue volunteer.
