We have a diverse civil practice with emphasis in all aspects of real property law, intellectual property law, business law, and civil litigation. Specific areas of practice include real estate, corporate and partnership matters, commercial litigation, patents, copyrights, trademarks, bankruptcy, taxation, trusts and estate planning, environmental, land use, condemnation, health care, employment, family, commercial, technology, banking and finance law. We have worked closely with title, escrow and mortgage companies, and other businesses and financial institutions located both in Hawaii and in the continental United States. We have assisted our clients in various aspects of commercial and residential loan documentation and workouts, foreclosures, collections, financial institution regulatory compliance, commercial development, residential and condominium projects, and leasing. We also have a large litigation practice which includes representation of clients in some of the most significant cases in the state. We represent some of the largest land owners in the state. While much of the firm's litigation practice is Real Estate related, the department also handles a broad range of general commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation.
