Krause and Goldberg, P.A., is a full service Weston law firm focused on estate planning.
None of us know the future. Therefore, it is important to put our affairs in good order, including executing up-to-date estate planning documents. Your Last Will and Testament should designate what you wish to happen with your property after you are gone and who you want to be in charge. If you don't have a Will, or if it isn't properly drafted, then your property may be distributed differently than you would intend. In addition to avoiding taxes, well-designed estate planning documents can help you reduce or escape probate, and provide for appropriate handling of your affairs in the event you are unable to do so.At Krause & Goldberg, we know federal tax law and Florida law regarding descent and distribution. Attorney Adam Scott Goldberg holds a Masters of Law degree (LL.M.) in Estate Planning from the University of Miami, has been teaching estate planning courses at NSU Law School since 1997, and has given numerous presentations in the area. He and Attorney Peter A. Krause have written various estate planning articles. Mr. Krause, a Yale Law School graduate, has been preparing Wills and Trusts for over thirty years. We can guide you in your planning and we can prepare the following types of documents for you:

-Special Needs Trusts
-Powers of Attorney
-Health Care Surrogates
-HIPAA Releases and Authorizations

Losing a loved one is never easy. Even with a Will, the probate process can be lengthy and complicated. Many problems can arise, such as Will contests, challenges to finding assets and locating the correct beneficiaries. Consideration must be given to the competing interests of beneficiaries, other relatives, the decedent's wishes and creditors. Creditors may include doctors, hospitals, funeral homes, and credit card companies. An attorney is required during a probate administration. With or without a Will, we can help you with the process and guide you during a difficult time.
