I have handled a number of difficult cases including a move-away case that involved a lot of litigation, testimony and motions. I finally did get the move-away after many hours of hard, complex work.
I have also dealt with both battered women and battered husband cases, hidden asset cases and cases in which both parties wanted a pound of flesh. The latter are not pleasant.

Family law became my primary category mainly by accident--I started to like it, and began getting a large number of family law clients.
This is good; it helps make my job easier. I also work to educate my clients by explaining how the court might rule and why.
I was a teacher before I became an attorney, and when I got my law degree I opened up my own firm.
I think my teaching experience helps, as well as having held a number of jobs when I was younger. I also have a wide range of interest in a lot of different things, which helps me to understand people better.
I feel that I'm smart and I know what I'm doing.
I come in prepared. Though I can never predict everything, I do spend the necessary time to make sure that a case goes well.
I like literature so I spend a lot of time reading; I have also been a Toastmaster for a long time, which I enjoy, and I like spending time with my kids.
