Shepard Plunkett is a general practice firm focusing on a wide range of individual and business litigation and transactions. Our firm has locations in Augusta, GA and Evans, GA to better serve the needs of bankruptcy clients throughout the CSRA. I am a partner in the firm, certified as a bankruptcy law specialist for businesses and individuals, and I focus my practice primarily on bankruptcy related issues.
The law firm was founded in 1984 by Paul Plunkett and Jim Plunkett and was then known as Plunkett & Plunkett, P.C. As the firm grew, additional partners were added and the firm became known as Shepard, Plunkett, Hamilton & Boudreaux, LLP in August of 2000. Currently, there are six attorneys in the firm to provide legal services for a wide variety of issues.
In many cases, I represent businesses in reorganizing the finances of the business while protecting the owner's personal assets from creditors. Additionally, I file many cases for individuals to protect their home from foreclosure, cars from repossession, or wages from garnishment of creditors.

My website is located at www.Augusta-BankruptcyAttorney.com. This website includes a list of frequently asked questions and answers about the process of bankruptcy filing and my free initial consultations were designed to provide as much information as possible to educate the client about the bankruptcy process and potential alternatives. Our law firm also seeks to provide information on all specialty services that we provide at www.ShepardPlunkett.com.
I am willing to review documents prepared by clients under appropriate circumstances.
Our firm does not coach clients to represent themselves. We instead focus on providing quality legal services to our clients.
Before starting private practice in Augusta, Georgia, I was the law clerk for John S. Dalis, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Georgia, Augusta Division. I also practiced law in Augusta, Georgia at the law firm of Wilhelmi, Haynes & Boudreaux, specializing in bankruptcy cases.
I have over 16 years of providing financial management and reorganization services to individuals and business clients. Additionally, I maintain a certification as a bankruptcy law specialist for individuals and businesses.
I take an individual approach to each client's needs and provide individual attention to each case. My advice does not start from a "one-size fits all" approach.
