The firm was established in February 2008 by Mr. Gourde, who has 22 years of experience and developed significant expertise as a litigator in business law at two large, well-established firms. Makoff v. Worth, Case No. 03CC0569. (2003)
Plaintiff claimed significant loss of earnings and breach of contract damages but dismissed her case after Mr. Gourde took her deposition.

Whitener v. Whittaker, Case No. 786752. (2000)
Mr. Gourde obtained a defense award at binding arbitration against a plaintiff claiming deafness and significant injuries. Plaintiff's significant injury claim was undermined by Mr. Gourde's arbitration presentation.

Sedeghat v. Molayem. Case No. BC 211246. (2002)
After lengthy litigation, Mr. Gourde obtained a dismissal from the Court after plaintiff's numerous trial witnesses failed to support his case or retreated on cross-examination. The case was appealed by the plaintiff but the rulings in favor of Mr. Gourde's client were upheld on appeal.

Davis v. Assaf, Case No. KC 037963. (2004)
Mr. Gourde obtained a defense verdict for his client at trial on dental malpractice, battery and Unfair Business Practice Act claims.

Gleason v. Bedwan et al., Case No. 07CC06007. (2008)
In this case, Mr. Gourde represented buyers of a cigar shop in Orange County who were denied the purchase when the seller backed-out at the last minute. The buyers sued for breach of contract, fraud and other claims, and obtained a substantial verdict against the sellers for both their breach of contract damages, lost profits and for punitive damages

Beighle v. Adams , Case No. 06CC09618. (2006)
In this case, Mr. Gourde represented Plaintiff in an action against Dr. Jan Adams, the plastic surgeon who performed cosmetic surgery on the mother of musician Kanye West just before her death. Mr. Gourde obtained a judgment of over $300,000.00 against Dr. Adams for mistreatment of his client.

Shoji v. Long Point and associated cases, Case No. YC059238. (2010)
Mr. Gourde represented several wealthy Japanese investors in cases against Long Point, LLC, the developer of the Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes, California. The investors sued when the project completion was delayed and Defendants would not return the deposits. The cases involved complex litigation and intense negotiations through which Mr. Gourde was able to obtain a settlements for his clients worth millions of dollars in credits for the purchase of resort units.

SEC v. Rasch/Novinger, Civil Action No. 1 :09-CV-01190-JEC. (2009)
Mr. Gourde represented an attorney of a firm that provided 144 Opinion letters to stock transfer agents, but was alleged to have relied on inadequate information when issuing the letters. The case received a lot of media attention. Mr. Gourde was able to negotiate a favorable result for his client with the SEC and no loss of her license.

Carpenter v. Greenberg et al., Case No. 30-2010-00348397. (2010)
In this case, Mr. Gourde represented a client who had agreed to transfer shares in her Company and sell a patented cleaning formula to two Defendants. However, Defendants breached the purchase agreement and the client sued the Defendants for breach of contract and fraud, among other claims. Mr. Gourde was able to obtain a substantial judgment against the Defendants for breach of contract and fraud.

Ferro v. Hernandez et al., Case No. CIVRS808455. (2011)
In this case, Mr. Gourde defended a prominent Florida criminal defense attorney and his firm who was retained in California by a criminal Defendant who was subject of the largest seizure a of private weapons cache and collection in US history. After months of intense litigation, which involved numerous motions, Court hearings and Court ordered sanctions against the opposing attorney, Mr. Gourde was able to obtain the complete dismissal his clients.

Wein v. Wedbush Morgan Securities, FINRA No. 10-02023. (2011)
Mr. Gourde represented an elderly account holder for the Defendant in this case. After his client suffered significant losses through improper trades, unauthorized transactions and non-suitable investments, Mr. Gourde arbitrated the claim for his client through FINRA and obtained a substantial award for his client's damages due to Defendant's improper handling of her investment account.
